ACT is a modern, evidence-based therapy within the "third wave" of CBT approaches. Instead of eliminating unpleasant thoughts or feelings, ACT helps people change their relationship with them, emphasising psychological flexibility and values-based living.

What It Helps With

  • Anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic pain
  • Living meaningfully with ongoing challenges
  • Building resilience and psychological flexibility

Duration & Approach

  • Can be short-term or ongoing therapy

  • Stress, low self-esteem, building resilience

Duration & Approach

Neurodiversity is the natural variation in how human brains think, learn, and process the world. Conditions such as ADHD, autism, and others are part of this diversity and not deficits to be "fixed." This approach provides a safe, non-judgemental space to understand your unique ways of experiencing life.

What It Helps With

  • Understanding and embracing neurodivergent identity
  • Reducing shame and self-criticism
  • Navigating relationships and workplace challenges

Developed by Francine Shapiro in 1987, EMDR is a structured therapy primarily aimed at processing traumatic memories using bilateral stimulation. It's recognized by WHO, NICE, and APA as an effective, evidence-based treatment for PTSD.

  • Especially effective for trauma and PTSD
  • Anxiety, depression, panic, and grief
  • Performance anxiety and substance issues

Duration & Approach

  • Sessions typically last 60–90 minutes
  • Usually offered weekly, following eight-phase protocol
  • 6–12 sessions for many, longer for complex trauma

Psychodynamic therapy, rooted in psychoanalytic tradition, focuses on revealing how unconscious thoughts, early experiences, and internal conflicts shape current behaviours and emotions.

What It Helps With

  • Interpersonal difficulties and emotional distress
  • Identifying recurring relational patterns

Duration & Approach

  • Typically conducted once or twice weekly

Family life can be rewarding, but it also brings challenges. Sometimes children and young people experience difficulties with emotions, behaviour, relationships, or school life, which can affect the whole family. This provides a safe, compassionate space to explore these challenges together.

  • Family stress and communication breakdowns
